Joshua is from New York City, USA. He earned undergraduate degrees in both Art History and Linguistics from CUNY Brooklyn College. His first trip to China was in 2015, the same year he completed his undergraduate thesis on Chinese video art and the avant garde. After graduating with honors he worked as a copywriter and marketer for various arts and non-profit organizations. He is currently living and working in Shanghai.
